HI-SOLIDS SANDING SEALER
Clear Lacquer
Davies Hi-Solids Sanding Sealer is a high-quality clear sealer formulated to build-up, fill in and seal wood grains. Its quick dry feature allows for fast sealing to create a surface that can be smooth sanded but with excellent adhesion to wood. It powders off quickly and easily resulting in an even pore-free foundation for clear topcoats.

SURFACE PREPARATION
New Painting
- All areas to be painted must be dry and free of dirt, dust, grease, oil and other contaminants.
- For open grain wood, apply Davies DV-77 Laxtite Lacquer Wood Dough using putty knife. Let dry for 1 to 2 hours and sand. Dust off completely, then wipe with a clean rag.
Repainting
- Do not apply over previously painted, varnished, or enameled surfaces. Painted or lacquered surface should be stripped to bare wood using Davies DV-300-X Strip-eze Paint Remover.
- For open grain wood, apply Davies DV-77 Laxtite Lacquer Wood Dough using putty knife. Let dry for 1 to 2 hours and sand. Dust off completely, then wipe with a clean rag.
PAINTING SYSTEM
Stain: Apply one (1) coat of Davies Oil Wood Stain
Primer/Sealer: Apply one (1) coat of Davies 701 Hi-Solids Sanding Sealer
Topcoat: Apply two or three (2-3) coats of any:
- Davies DV-702 Hi-Solids Clear Gloss Lacquer
- Davies DV-703 Hi-Solids Dead Flat Lacquer
- Davies DV-704 Hi-Solids Water White Gloss Lacquer
