Epoxy-Based
Davies Epoxy Enamel is a two component, air drying, chemically- cured epoxy-polyamide interior topcoat finish. It is specially designed for industrial building and marine applications with very good resistance to acid solution, brine, solvent, and other chemicals.

SURFACE PREPARATION
A. New Painting
- All surfaces must be clean, dry, free from dust, dirt, chalk, laitance, efflorescence, rust, grease, oil and other foreign materials.
- Wipe off oil and grease with solvent or lacquer thinner.
- Remove rust, mill scale, and stains with sandpaper, wirebrush, or other abrading methods.
- Treat iron surfaces with heavy coating of rust and scale with Davies DV-200-X Rust Converter, wipe off residue and clean with lacquer thinner.
- Apply the appropriate metal primer immediately after cleaning and drying to avoid the onset of corrosion.
B. Repainting
- If the existing paint is sound and shows slight chalking, sand lightly and wipe off dust
- Remove cracked, peeling off old paint by scraping, wire brushing, or sanding. Use Davies DV-300-X Strip-eze Paint Remover to aid in scraping off old paint.
- Treat heavily corroded surfaces with Davies DV-200-X Rust Converter, wipe off residue and clean with lacquer thinner.
- Apply the appropriate metal primer immediately after cleaning and drying to avoid the onset of corrosion.

Primer/Sealer: Apply one (1) coat of Davies Epoxy Primer White
Topcoat: Apply two (2) coats of Davies Epoxy Enamel
Metal, Non Ferrous
Pre-treatment: Apply one (1) coat of Davies DV-900 Galvanized Wash Primer
Primer/Sealer: Apply one (1) coat of Davies Epoxy Primer White
Topcoat: Apply two (2) coats of Davies Epoxy Enamel
C. Concrete Surfaces
Primer/Sealer: Apply one (1) coat of Davies Epoxy Primer White
Topcoat: Apply two (2) coats of Davies Epoxy Enamel
B. Wood Surfaces
Primer/Sealer: Apply one (1) coat of Davies Epoxy Primer White
Topcoat: Apply two (2) coats of Davies Epoxy Enamel
