PAINTING INSTRUCTIONS
Step 1: Surface Preparation
Ensure that the surface is structurally sound and free of dust, dirt, oil laitance, paint, algae and mildew
Step 2: Production Preparation
Mix 10 parts of COAT SAVER® SOLO™ Powder CS-K1 Superfine to 3.5 – 4 parts of clean tap water. A 20-KG bag of COAT SAVER® SOLO™ Powder CS-K1 Superfine needs approximately 7.5 – 8 liters of water. Use a plastic pail, add COAT SAVER® SOLO™ Powder CS-K1 Superfine by increments to water and mix thoroughly for a homogenous, lump-free mixture, it is recommended to use a hand drill or electric mixer for 2 minutes to attain a smooth, consistent and creamy paste.
Allow mixture to stand for 3-5 minutes and stir again prior to application. It is best to mix only a sufficient amount that can be applied within 1-2 hours. Warm, exterior conditions will shorten pot life.
Do not add water to extend pot life as excess water will affect the final performance.
Step 3: Application
Light water misting on concrete surface is recommended before applying COAT SAVER® SOLO™ Powder CS-K1 Superfine mixture.
Use a clean stainless steel cement trowel.
Recommended thickness is 0.50mm – 2.00mm. For thick application requirements, apply 2 coats with a 30-minute interval between coats.
Light sanding may be done to correct application unevenness. Ensure that dust and dirt are completely wiped off. Allow the surface to cure for 24 hours then finish with the recommended painting system for skimcoat-applied masonry surfaces.
Theoretical Coverage: 20 m² at 1mm thick per 20-KG bag of COAT SAVER® SOLO™ Powder CS-K1 Superfine
